BLOOMINGTON — Marvin C. Weaver, 76, of Bloomington, a 1961 graduate of Roberts-Thawville High School, died at 6:05 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2019, at his residence.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, at the Gibson City Pentecostal Church, 301 S. Melvin St., Gibson City, with the Rev. John Koonce and the Rev. Eddie Perkins officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, at the church. Burial will be at Lyman Township Cemetery in Roberts. The Calvert Metzler Memorial Home in Bloomington is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Weaver was born Dec. 4, 1942, the son of Clyde Clayton and Naomi Mae (Kiper) Weaver. He graduated from Roberts-Thawville High School in 1961 and Southern Illinois University in 1963 with an associate’s degree in mechanics.

Mr. Weaver married Diane Seegmiller on Nov. 22, 1965. She survives. He later married Janet Seegmiller on Nov. 7, 1969. She survives.

Also surviving are a son, Martin (Sandi) Weaver; two daughters, Karen Calloway and Ruth (Grady) Weeks; 10 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and a brother, Dean (Marsha) Weaver.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Daniel Weaver; and two grandsons.
