THAWVILLE — Kathy L. Espinoza, 56, of Thawville, died Friday, March 8, 2019, at her residence.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, March 11, at the Knapp-Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Brian King officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Onarga Cemetery.
Mrs. Espinoza was born Feb. 11, 1963, in Paxton, the daughter of William and Rachel (Powers) Swartz. She married Erasmo Espinoza on June 27, 1987, in Gilman, and he survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Rachel Espinoza of Thawville and Carolyn Espinoza-Harris of Thawville; one son, Ernesto Espinoza of Thawville; two sisters, Barb Peters of Streator and Carolyn Garcia of Gilman; nine grandchildren, Bianca, Gabriel, Arianna, Gianna, Maia, John Jr., Lilly, Adrianna and Joseph; and a niece, Holly Garcia of Thawville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers; two sisters; and two sons, Joseph and Erasmo Jr.
Mrs. Espinoza worked as a certified nursing assistant in Streator and Piper City. She enjoyed making jewelry, baking, cooking, traveling and her grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to an organization of the donor’s choice.
