PAXTON — Gloria Ann Bott, 80, of Paxton, died at 7:16 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019, at Accolade Heathcare of Paxton Senior Living.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells St., Paxton, with the Rev. Tom Anders officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery in Paxton. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bott was born Dec. 27, 1938, in rural Newton, the daughter of Fred and Gladys Davis Quincy. She married John Lawrence Bott on June 20, 1965, in Jasper County. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Raymond Bott of Urbana and Donald Bott of Paxton; and a half-sister, Dorothy Stewart of Greenup.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Madonna.
Mrs. Bott spent her childhood in the Casey area, graduating from Casey High School. She attended Eastern Illinois University for two years. After she married her husband, they lived in St. Louis, where he was a U. S. Air Force recruiter. They moved to various towns during his career. In 1997, they came to Paxton, where she worked as a checker at the Paxton IGA. She retired after 25 years. She enjoyed reading and spending time with family.
