GIBSON CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT

GIBSON CITY — The Gibson City Police Department released the following list of persons arrested or ticketed recently:

➜ Jaclynn M. Haney, 25, of 703 N. Melvin St., Gibson City, for an in-state warrant on Friday, April 5.

➜ Miguel A. Gomez-Contreras, 32, of 121 Illinois St., Sibley, for driving with no valid driver’s license on Friday, April 5.

PAXTON POLICE DEPARTMENT

PAXTON — The Paxton Police Department released the following list of recent activity:

➜ Stephanie E. Baker, 23, of Watseka, was ticketed for possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding during a traffic stop at 9:10 p.m. Monday, April 8, at the intersection of Ottawa Road and Taft Street. The traffic stop was conducted after police allegedly saw Baker driving 35 mph in a 45-mph speed zone. During the traffic stop, police noticed an odor of cannabis coming from inside the vehicle. A subsequent search revealed a small amount of loose cannabis and a one-hitter pipe used to smoke cannabis in the center console.

➜ Shawnna L. Rose, 36, of Paxton, was arrested for driving with a suspended driver’s license during a traffic stop at 2:11 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at the intersection of Summer and Fall streets. The 2002 Saturn L200 she was driving was seized by police under city ordinance.

➜ Donald L. Peacock, 33, of Paxton, was arrested for domestic battery at 9:29 p.m. Friday, April 5, in connection with an alleged incident involving a person he used to date that occurred at 257 W. Holmes St.

IROQUOIS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

WATSEKA — The Iroquois County Sheriff’s Office released the following list of recent activity:

➜ William R. Morrissette, 55, of Danforth, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a suspended driver’s license and on a Kankakee County warrant on Monday, April 8.

➜ Dustin J. Lynch, 28, of Bourbonnais, was transported from the Kankakee County Jail to the Iroquois County Jail on Saturday, April 6. Lynch was wanted on an Iroquois County warrant for possession of a stolen vehicle.

➜ Christopher G. Spracklon, 50, of Watseka, was ticketed for disobeying a stop sign on Friday, April 5, following a two-vehicle accident near Donovan. The accident occurred when Spracklon, 50 was driving east on County Road 2600 North and failed to stop as required at the intersection with County Road 2900 East, where Spracklon’s vehicle struck a northbound vehicle driven by Deanna J. LeCount, 49, of Donovan, who was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee for treatment of minor injuries.

➜ William H. Clingenpeel Jr., 41, of Sheldon, was ticketed for operating an uninsured vehicle on Friday, April 5, following a two-vehicle accident on Fourth Street near Iroquois Street in Sheldon. The accident occurred when Jeffrey L. Mabbitt, 60, of Sheldon, was backing out of a private drive in the 400 block of North Fourth Street and his vehicle was struck by Clingenpeel’s vehicle. No injuries were reported.

➜ Eduard P. Schuch, 51, of Martinton, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies for criminal damage to property (less than $500) on Thursday, April 4.

➜ Justin L. Mercier, 30, of Milford, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies on a Kankakee County warrant for aggravated domestic battery on Thursday, April 4.

➜ Eric J. Hanson, 27, of Sheldon, was arrested by Milford police for domestic battery on Wednesday, April 3.

➜ Jacob M. Coleman, 29, of Watseka, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies on an Iroquois County warrant for unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle and theft on Wednesday, April 3.

DISTRICT 21 ILLINOIS STATE POLICE

ASHKUM — District 21 Illinois State Police at Ashkum released the following list of recent activity in the area:

➜ Maurice A. Washington, 30, of Hammond, Ind., was arrested for fleeing or eluding a police officer and ticketed for speeding and driving with no valid driver’s license during a traffic stop at 9:51 p.m. Monday, April 8, on southbound Interstate 57 at milepost 281 near Gilman in Iroquois County. When a state trooper patroling the area tried to stop Washington’s vehicle, he pulled to the right shoulder and then took off. The vehicle was later located on southbound I-57 at milepost 235.

➜ Erik L. Williams, 45, of Richton Park, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a suspended driver’s license and was ticketed for improper traffic lane usage, improper lighting, illegal transportation of alcohol, possession of 10 or fewer grams of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop at 9:55 p.m. Saturday, April 6, on northbound Interstate 57 at milepost 290 near Ashkum in Iroquois County. A state trooper patroling the area conducted the traffic stop after seeing Williams’ semi swerving all over the roadway. Williams showed signs of alcohol impairment.

➜ Amy N. Taylor, 26, of Gilman, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and ticketed for illegal transportation of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving with an expired driver’s license on Saturday, April 6, after a state trooper responded to a crash on southbound Interstate 57 at milepost 280 near Onarga in Iroquois County around 2:54 a.m. Taylor showed signs of alcohol impairment.

➜ Keith D. Holmes Jr., 22, of Chicago, was arrested for possession of 100 to 500 grams of cannabis, manufacture/delivery of 30 to 500 grams of cannabis and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop at 2:41 p.m. Monday, April 1, on Interstate 57 in northern Iroquois County. The traffic stop was conducted after a state trooper patroling the area saw a southbound vehicle on I-57 being driven by Holmes at a high rate of speed near milepost 295.  A search of the vehicle revealed 474 grams of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.

➜ Cory L. Kilgore, 44, of Watseka, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and ticketed for operating an uninsured vehicle at 9:31 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, in Iroquois County. The arrest occurred after a state trooper found Kilgore unconscious behind the wheel with his vehicle in drive as it was parked on the shoulder of the road on Illinois 1 at County Road 2850 North.
