GIBSON CITY — The Gibson City Police Department released the following list of persons arrested or ticketed recently:

➜ Melissa A. Morefield, 30, homeless, for criminal trespass to a residence on Friday, April 12.

➜ Theresa M. Hillard, 37, of 201 W. 1st St., Melvin, for battery on Thursday, April 11.

IROQUOIS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

WATSEKA — The Iroquois County Sheriff’s Office released the following list of recent activity:

➜ Kyle S. Blackburn, 33, of Cissna Park, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies on two Iroquois County warrants for theft (over $500) and failure to appear in court for theft (over $500) on Sunday, April 14.

➜ Kevin L. Lambert, 32, turned himself in at the Iroquois County Jail on Sunday, April 14, to begin serving a 10-day sentence for failure to register as a sex offender.

➜ James A. Martinez, 30, of Gilman, was arrested by Gilman police for aggravated battery and home invasion on Saturday, April 13.

➜ Jasmine Casas, 30, of Gilman, was arrested by Gilman police for aggravated battery and home invasion on Saturday, April 13.

➜ Terry L. Blair, 24, of Gilman, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies on a Livingston County warrant for failure to appear in court for criminal damage to state-supported property on Thursday, April 11.

➜ Rolando J. Salazar, 23, of Beaverville, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies for battery and driving under the influence of alcohol on Thursday, April 11.

PAXTON POLICE DEPARTMENT

PAXTON — The Paxton Police Department released the following list of recent activity:

➜ Cherie Defrancisco-Rude, 58, of Rankin, was arrested for driving on a suspended driver’s license during a traffic stop at 10:57 a.m. Sunday, April 14, in the 500 block of West Center Street. The traffic stop was conducted after an officer, who was aware that Defrancisco-Rude’s license was suspended, saw her driving a 2003 GMC Safari van, which was seized by police under city ordinance.

➜ Kelli C. Bronson, 33, of Loda, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and ticketed for driving without headlights during a traffic stop at 1:22 a.m. Sunday, April 14, at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and State Street. The 2019 Chevrolet Malibu she was driving was seized by police under city ordinance.

➜ A 15-year-old male from Rantoul was arrested for driving with no valid driver’s license and ticketed for operating an uninsured vehicle during a traffic stop at 10:41 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Patton Street. The 2010 Chevrolet Malibu the juvenile was driving was seized by police under city ordinance. The juvenile was later released to his parents.

➜ Laci S. Benningfield, 27, of Paxton, was arrested for domestic battery, obstruction of justice and on five in-state warrants after police were called to 425 E. Patton St. at 8:08 p.m. Thursday, April 11, in reference to a domestic situation. Upon arrival, police spoke with Benningfield, who initially provided a fake name. Police later determined her correct name and found that she had five in-state warrants for her arrest, including four out of Sangamon County.

➜ John L. Lathrom, 56, of Mansfield, was ticketed for failure to yield at an intersection on Tuesday, April 2, following a two-vehicle accident at the unmarked intersection of Fulton and Union streets that occurred around 4:14 p.m. The accident occurred when Lathrom was driving a 1995 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck west on Fulton Street and failed to yield the right-of-way to a southbound 2015 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Kasey M. Northway, 29, of Paxton. Northway’s vehicle struck Lathrom’s. A child in Northway’s vehicle was taken to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana for treatment of injuries sustained.

DISTRICT 21 ILLINOIS STATE POLICE

ASHKUM — District 21 Illinois State Police at Ashkum released the following list of recent activity in the area:

➜ Maurice A. Washington, 30, of Hammond, Ind., was arrested for fleeing or eluding a police officer and ticketed for speeding and driving with no valid driver’s license during a traffic stop at 9:51 p.m. Monday, April 8, on southbound Interstate 57 at milepost 281 near Gilman in Iroquois County. When a state trooper patroling the area tried to stop Washington’s vehicle, he pulled to the right shoulder and then took off. The vehicle was later located on southbound I-57 at milepost 235.

➜ Erik L. Williams, 45, of Richton Park, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a suspended driver’s license and was ticketed for improper traffic lane usage, improper lighting, illegal transportation of alcohol, possession of 10 or fewer grams of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop at 9:55 p.m. Saturday, April 6, on northbound Interstate 57 at milepost 290 near Ashkum in Iroquois County. A state trooper patroling the area conducted the traffic stop after seeing Williams’ semi swerving all over the roadway. Williams showed signs of alcohol impairment.

➜ Amy N. Taylor, 26, of Gilman, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and ticketed for illegal transportation of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving with an expired driver’s license on Saturday, April 6, after a state trooper responded to a crash on southbound Interstate 57 at milepost 280 near Onarga in Iroquois County around 2:54 a.m.
