PAXTON — The Paxton Police Department released the following list of recent activity:
➜ Aaron N. Vazquez-Ramirez, 44, of Rantoul, was arrested for driving with a revoked driver’s license and ticketed for speeding (41 mph in a 30-mph speed zone) during a traffic stop at 5:53 p.m. Sunday, March 31, at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Green Street. The 2007 Chevrolet Aveo that he was driving was seized by police under city ordinance.
➜ Bernard A. Brown, 33, of Rantoul, was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol and driving with a revoked driver’s license and was also ticketed for illegal transportation of alcohol, improper traffic lane usage and operating an uninsured vehicle during a traffic stop at 2:11 a.m. Sunday, March 31, at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Summer Street. The 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe that he was driving was seized by police under city ordinance.
➜ Matthew V. Harlen, 41, of Paxton, was arrested for driving with a suspended driver’s license and ticketed for operating a vehicle with no rear registration lamp during a traffic stop at 9:52 p.m. Friday, March 29, at the intersection of Taft and Franklin streets. The 1995 Jeep Cherokee that he was driving was seized by police under city ordinance.
GIBSON CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT
GIBSON CITY — The Gibson City Police Department released the following list of persons arrested or ticketed recently:
➜ Patricia S. Austin, 36, of 124 N. Pine St., Gibson City, for an in-state warrant on Wednesday, March 27.
IROQUOIS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
WATSEKA — The Iroquois County Sheriff’s Office released the following list of recent activity:
➜ No tickets were issued following a one-vehicle accident on Saturday, March 30, near Martinton. The accident occurred when Sheila A. Clark, 53, of Danville, was driving north on County Road 2200 East, near County Road 2980 North, and lost control of her vehicle, which went into a roadside ditch and struck a utility pole. The vehicle
sustained more than $1,500 in damage. The occupants of the vehicle were taken to Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka for treatment of minor injuries.
➜ Scott A. Harrison, 54, of Bourbonnais, turned himself in at the Iroquois County Jail on Friday, March 29, to start serving a 10-weekend sentence he received for driving with a suspended driver’s license.
➜ Timmy J. Deaton, 37, of Milford, was transported from the Kankakee County Jail to the Iroquois County Jail on Friday, March 29. Deaton was wanted on an Iroquois County warrant for retail theft.
➜ No tickets were issued and no injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident near Clifton on Thursday, March 28. The accident occurred when Russell J. Rosenboom, 80, of Clifton, was attempting to turn into a driveway near the intersection of county roads 2950 North and 630 East when he failed to yield the right-of-way and his vehicle was struck by a westbound vehicle driven by Jeffery B. Redenius, 31, of
Ashkum. Both vehicles sustained more than $1,500 in damage.
➜ Bradley S. David, 32, no address listed, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies for a violation of an order of protection on Thursday, March 28.
➜ Phillip R. Anglin, 42, of Piper City, was arrested by Onarga police for driving with a revoked driver’s license and was ticketed for improper display of registration and operating an uninsured vehicle on Wednesday, March 27.
DISTRICT 21 ILLINOIS STATE POLICE
ASHKUM — District 21 Illinois State Police at Ashkum released the following list of recent activity in the area:
➜ Keith D. Holmes Jr., 22, of Chicago, was arrested for possession of 100 to 500 grams of cannabis, manufacture/delivery of 30 to 500 grams of cannabis and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop at 2:41 p.m. Monday, April 1, on Interstate 57 in northern Iroquois County. The traffic stop was conducted after a state trooper patroling the area saw a southbound vehicle on I-57 being driven by Holmes at a high rate of speed near milepost 295. A search of the vehicle revealed 474 grams of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.
➜ Cory L. Kilgore, 44, of Watseka, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and ticketed for operating an uninsured vehicle at 9:31 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, in Iroquois County. The arrest occurred after a state trooper found Kilgore unconscious behind the wheel with his vehicle in drive as it was parked on the shoulder of the road on Illinois 1 at County Road 2850 North. Kilgore showed signs of alcohol impairment, police said.
